Web poker has become world celebrated as of late, with televised championships and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, arcs back quite a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years several variants on the first poker game have been developed, including some games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling chemin de fer than traditional poker, in that the players bet against the casino instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is no concealment or other kinds of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up before the croupier saying "No more bets." At that point, both you and the house and of course all of the other gamblers receive five cards. After you have seen your hand and the dealer’s first card, you need to either make a call wager or surrender. The call wager’s value is equal to your original wager, indicating that the risks will have doubled. Bowing out means that your wager goes immediately to the house. After the wager comes the conclusion. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your wager is given back, with an amount on par with the initial wager. If the bank has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand is greater than the bank’s hand. The casino pony’s up cash equal to your bet and controlled expectations on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
